Has anyone ever been to Doe's Steak House, mentioned in the article? I'm curious to hear what it's like - I know it's no menus, folding tables dining, and downright legendary! 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

If you're referring to the one in Greenville, MS, the food is wonderful. It's in an older part of town that is on the decline. It began as a grocery store and transitioned to a restaurant as the food began to gather more and more attention. (they were serving friends in the back) The atmosphere is relaxed. Very relaxed. The people of the south generally aren't pretentious and this place is no exception. It is what it is and it's great. The place is frequented by famous and interesting people all the time. I see diplomats and writers in there regularly and Hollywood stars stop by when they are in the area as well. If you've never been and have an opportunity, don't miss it! It's truly an experience. 6  out of 6 found this valuable. Do you?

I ate at the one in Bentonville Ark. and I can tell youit was fantastic. I eat steaks at the best steak houses all over. I have paid well over $150 to get a staek that was not half as good as the one for $35 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

potatoes floating in butter, how can you go wrong with that! Any time I get to travel to Little Rock I go at least once, sometimes twice in a visit. Do you find this valuable?
